They are seeking dedicated and empathetic Assessment Officers to support disaster recovery grants across NSW. These roles are available for an immediate start on a contract until 30th of September 2025.

Please note that successful candidates must be based in NSW and will require candidates to attend the office 2 days per week in either Sydney CBD, Parramatta or Gosford offices.

The Job
Reporting through to a Team Leader, you will be accountable for:

• Conduct timely, efficient assessments and make accountable determinations.
• Provide clear and accurate information to customers regarding assessment outcomes.
• Assist with team supervision, resource management, and handling escalated issues.
• Perform administrative tasks and process enquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
• Resolve complex customer issues and communicate outcomes effectively.

You
To be successful for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the below personal qualities:

• Available to start ASAP with no holidays/leave scheduled.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to talk and navigate difficult conversations with vulnerable customers.
• Experience in claims, case management or high-volume documentation processing environment is favourable.
• Experience in grants, rebates and vouchers administration is preferable, but not necessary.
• Experience using Salesforce and/or Genesys is highly advantageous.
