Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person who is looking for an opportunity to gain experience in Contract Administration and Accounts and work closely with our construction managers and directors to ensure accurate record-keeping within our organization. This dual-role position plays a key part in maintaining compliance, managing job costings, and ensuring timely and accurate financial operations inclusive of support management for all departments within our Carpentry & Construction Business.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Administration:
Administrate tender invitations and keep track of submittals inclusive of awards and contracts.
Maintain and update a tender registers, supplier invoice ledgers, payrol trackers and job costings including tracking key dates (renewals, expirations, milestones).
Liaise with estimating, procurement, operations, and management to negotiate terms and resolve issues.
Review of payment schedules and reconciling of out going claims.
Prepare Subcontractor Statements inclusive of insurance reviews and credit checks.
Prepare regular reports on contract status, live margin reports, and budget forecasting.
Accounts Management:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Prepare basic monthly financial reports.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and financial policies.
Coordinate with external tax consultants, and other financial service providers.
Monitor cash flow and support financial decision-making with data-driven insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
Studying Contracts Admin, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Student or Under Graduate
Experience in construction or administration.
