We’re on the lookout for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Property Management team in the Lower North Shore. This role is ideal for someone with property management experience who loves real estate and sales but isn’t looking to become a sales agent. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting KPIs and targets while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
About the Role:
Lead Generation and Prospecting
Identify and engage potential landlord clients through cold calling, networking, digital channels, and referral networks
Attend local community events, open homes, and real estate functions to build contacts and promote services
Leverage the DiJones database and CRM tools to track leads and manage the sales pipeline
Client Engagement and Sales
Conduct property appraisals and present tailored property management proposals to prospective landlords
Clearly communicate the benefits of our property management services
Negotiate management fees and secure signed management agreements
Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong relationships with property investors, landlords, and referral partners
Act as the first point of contact during onboarding before handing over to the property manager
Provide ongoing check-ins with new clients to ensure a smooth transition and high satisfaction
Market Intelligence
Stay informed on local rental market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
Share insights with the broader team to refine service offerings and sales strategies
Collaboration and Reporting
Collaborate with property management and leasing teams for seamless client onboarding
Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and conversion data in the CRM
Report regularly on key performance indicators such as leads, appraisals, managements secured, and revenue
Marketing and Brand Promotion
Support marketing efforts targeting landlords and investors through campaigns and promotions
Represent the DiJones brand professionally across social media, email, and in the community
About You:
Hold a current real Estate Licence or Assistant Agent Certificate
An undergraduate degree in any discipline
A full clean driver’s licence
Passionate, professional, and client-focused
Proven success in business development or a strong sales background
Confident in generating leads through phone-based prospecting
