About the role

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to step into a role with real scope, support, and impact.

You’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities across your region, working closely with clients to understand their operational challenges and propose solutions that solve real problems not just tick boxes. This includes loading dock equipment, industrial doors, vehicle restraint systems, safety barriers, and more.

You won’t be handed a script. You’ll be handed trust, autonomy, and the technical support to back you up. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team but your patch is your own to build. That means owning the entire sales process: from prospecting and qualifying leads, to quoting, presenting solutions, closing deals, and supporting delivery.

You’ll work with logistics managers, operations teams, contractors, and engineers and no two projects are the same. Some are fast-turnaround upgrades, others are complex, multi-stakeholder installs on new builds or retrofits. That’s the challenge, and the reward.

We’re looking for someone who gets a genuine buzz out of solving problems, building trust, and winning work.

About you

You’re a confident, capable Business Development Manager with a technical edge and a track record of delivering commercial results. You’re not afraid to pick up the phone, knock on a door, or walk a job site.

You can hold your own in a boardroom and on a construction site. You’re naturally curious, you ask smart questions, and you’re driven to understand how things work both in a technical and a business sense.

You thrive on independence, but you’re also a team player who values collaboration and open communication. You’re someone who wants to grow and you’re ready to do the work to make that happen.

What you’ll bring to the table:

Proven experience in business development, solution sales, or account management, ideally in industrial, mechanical, or construction related sectors

A consultative, customer-first approach to selling

Technical acumen, you don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing equipment, specs, and site requirements

Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

A self-starter mindset, you’re motivated, organised, and results-driven

The flexibility to travel within your territory (a company vehicle or allowance will be provided)

Salary & Benefits

$100,000 to $120,000 Base + Super + Car + Comms
