Embarking on change to achieve the best results for residents and the organisation, they are in the process of transitioning staffing from an external management company to an internal structure.
The exciting opportunity:
- Report directly into the Board
- Operational management of a modern retirement village consisting of 65 villas and apartments and a community hall in Perth’s Inner suburbs
- Form excellent relationships with the local community, promoting the organisation and building a sound reputation to achieve maximum occupancy
- Provide superb customer service, responding to feedback and complaints
- Develop and implement policies and procedures, and instigate and introduce continuous improvement initiatives to ensure services meet governing legislation and accreditation standards
- Assist with setting and then manage the budget, controlling expenditure, and presenting at finance meetings
- Recruit and manage an Administration Officer and provide direction to contractors and volunteers
- Coordinate the maintenance and refurbishments of the independent living units

About you:
- Proven track record in a Retirement Village Manager role
- Sound understanding of the Retirement Villages Act and Code of Conduct
- A visible leader with superb communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; able to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with clear boundaries
- Strong financial acumen with a proven track record managing and forecasting budgets
- Kind, empathetic, honest and with a can do attitude
