Western Freight Management (WFM) is seeking a hands-on, motivated Team Leader to join our operations team in Western Sydney. If you're experienced in freight handling and ready to step into a leadership role, we want to hear from you. we are ideally looking for a person with a HR License or HC License with experience

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with both operations staff and drivers. You'll be responsible for managing daily freight movements, supporting drivers, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations across departments.

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload various types of freight

Strap and unstrap trailer loads safely and correctly

Manifest, label, and prepare freight for dispatch

Allocate jobs and runs to drivers

Work closely with internal departments to coordinate daily operations

Use basic computer systems to manage freight and documentation

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and CoR (Chain of Responsibility) requirements

Represent WFM professionally and maintain strong communication across teams

What You’ll Need

Forklift licence (required)

Car licence (required)

HR licence (preferred)

Solid knowledge of Sydney and Western Sydney road networks

Ability to use computers for manifesting and basic reporting

Reliable own transport

Good understanding of CoR obligations

Proven experience in a similar freight or logistics role

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
