Createch Industries are currently seeking a day shift Workshop Leading Hand for our workshop in Unanderra to support the delivery of projects in the heavy industry, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors.

To be successful in this role Candidates must be able to:

Have demonstrated and substantial experience within either the heavy industrial, oil/gas or infrastructure sectors

Have experience working with Structural Steel

Have experience with Pipe work & General fabrication

Mig,Tig & Stick Weld to Australian standards

Have good organizational and time management skills, with a strong ability to follow a schedule

Have an active and responsible approach to safety

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Have a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality and pride in your work

A patient and positive attitude towards training others and managing a team

Duties & Key Requirements:

5+ years as a qualified boilermaker, Welder

2+ years' experience as a Leading Hand with proven leadership skills

Read and interpret technical drawings

Forklift ticket

Must be willing to complete a pre-employment weld test

Interface heavily with management team

Work well with Workshop Supervisor/Afternoon shift leading hand

Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia with recognized qualifications
