As an Officer, Global Mobility at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a crucial role in supporting international talent acquisition and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations. You'll have the opportunity to enhance the experience of incoming staff and visitors, working closely with stakeholders to provide expert guidance on relocation, visa sponsorship, and mobility. This role offers you the chance to contribute to the university's global presence while developing your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support Global Mobility Services: Assist the Senior Specialist and Senior Officer in delivering high-quality global mobility and relocation outcomes for the university and candidates.
  • Provide Immigration Guidance: Help hiring managers, staff, and visitors navigate visa options and processes, liaising with migration agents as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance: Support the implementation of compliance activities across all visa types to maintain integrity and mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Assist in developing new processes and recommending enhancements to existing ones, promoting continuous improvement.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a detail-oriented professional with relevant experience in HR, recruitment, or immigration, possessing excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage sensitive information while working effectively with diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.

You may also:

  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in HR, recruitment, immigration, or global mobility.
  • Possess a strong understanding of international recruitment processes and employee lifecycles.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Have experience communicating effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Be adept at managing sensitive records and maintaining confidentiality.
