About the role:
The Facilities Manager oversees the operational management of buildings and facilities at the College to ensure World-Class facilities are provided to our students.
This role is required you to take a hands-on approach to managing facilities and operations at College.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee operational services such as facilities, maintenance, catering, cleaning and housekeeping.
Managing external contractors and project delivery.
Purchase and order office equipment.
Monitor costs across all operational departments.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and legislation.
Responsible to execute 2 fire drills yearly for our safety and insurance proposes.
Working with operational department management staff.
Administrate emergency and fire matters, including update of all buildings procedures and nominated student’s wardens yearly.
Administrate keys and lock systems for students, staff and contractors.
Control carpark inspections leasing with Students.
Organize bedroom inspections and inventories.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management.
Relevant university degree or equivalent relevant experience and applicable qualifications.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects to deliver them on time and to budget.
Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to develop effective and ongoing relationships across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and customer service skills along with the ability to work well with staff at all levels of the organisation.
Strong writing, editing and proofing skills, with high attention to detail.
Very good organisational and administrative skills.
High level of competence and confidence in technology – Microsoft Office, Property management systems, CRM systems, databases and email
Desirable
Experience in the educational and or tertiary educational sector is preferable but not essential.
