NSW Government is looking for multiple Assessors to process applications for grants and other funding programs for those affected by recent natural disasters.
We are seeking people who have had previous experience with assessing claims and funding applications, such as insurance claim assessments, loan applications or similar nature of work duties. Experience with interpreting policy and legislation will be a distinct advantage for this work. You will need to be able to cope with a very high-volume and fast-paced environment, and be able to hit the ground running with minimal training and hand-over.
3 Month Contract
ASAP Start
Hybrid work - reporting to office 2 days per week (either Gosford, Parramatta or McKell/Haymarket location)
$37.33/ hour + super
7 hours/day (between operational hours of 8am-5pm) Mon - Fri
Must be able to commence work ASAP with no leave scheduled within the contract period
As an Assessor, your primary tasks will focus on supporting customers with a variety of complex issues; gathering information and determining outcomes; and communicating these outcomes to the customers.
You will:
undertake assessments on matters to make accountable determinations to facilitate appropriate client/customer outcomes by applying relevant knowledge, legislation, regulations and procedures;
provide timely and accurate information and advice to customers on determination outcomes to ensure positive customer experiences;
provide administrative services, respond to high-volume enquiries and complete a range of processing activities with accuracy and efficiency to support quality customer service outcomes.
Your daily tasks will involve:

✔️ Providing clear, professional, and empathetic customer support
✔️ Resolving escalated issues, including complaints and correspondence

APPLICANTS MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE WITHIN NSW AND MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A POLICE RECORDS CHECK PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE 3 MONTH CONTRACT PERIOD.
