We are funded by the Federal Government under the Industry Growth Centre model and our work spans clean-tech manufacturing including: solar, wind, carbon, industrial decarbonisation, First Nations, transport, transmission and distribution.
We also have a very specific focus on the battery sector in regard to training, skills and workforce development, which is why this role is so important.
THE ROLE
The Project Officer – Grants will contribute to the development of a skilled battery workforce through the efficient and transparent administration of our grants program. Delivering value for money for stakeholders ensuring that Australia’s battery industry remains at the cutting edge of an exciting, complex and rapidly changing industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage our grants database to effectively administer application processing, assessment, funding agreements and reporting.
· Ensure compliance with Federal grant guidelines, funding agreements, and eligibility criteria, focused on transparency, accountability and value for money.
· Provide advice to potential applicants in navigating the grant application process, including eligibility, documentation, financial acquittals and reporting requirements.
· Liaise with approved training providers to verify course eligibility and support the Battery Workforce Lead in maintaining a register of quality-assured training options.
· Oversee grant disbursement and financial reconciliation, ensuring that funding allocations align with program budgets and policies.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
· A post-secondary qualification in business management and administration or any related field.
· 3+ years of experience in grants administration and program management, preferably in a government or industry-related setting.
· Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and compliance processes related to grants and funding programs.
· Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with industry representatives, training providers, and government agencies.
