We are funded by the Federal Government under the Industry Growth Centre model and our work spans clean-tech manufacturing including: solar, wind, carbon, industrial decarbonisation, First Nations, transport, transmission and distribution.
We also have a very specific focus on the battery sector in regard to training, skills and workforce development, which is why this role is so important.
THE ROLE

The Battery Workforce Lead will design and deliver battery training and education initiatives to ensure that Australia has a sustained pipeline of battery workers and remains at the cutting edge of an exciting, complex and rapidly changing industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and deliver workshops to promote battery job opportunities, tailored for priority groups and workers moving from other industries · Write and edit annual updates to the Battery Powered Pathways
· Produce training materials aligned with National Training Packages, in consultation with TAFE Centres of Excellences, RTOs and Jobs and Skills Councils.
· Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness to maximise impact and engagement.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· A post-secondary qualification in workforce development, training, education, science, engineering, energy systems, or a related discipline.
· 5+ years of proven experience in workforce development, vocational training, or industry engagement.
· Strong project management skills
· Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
· Knowledge of workforce diversity and inclusion strategies, particularly related to priority groups.
· Understanding of Australia’s National Training Package framework and VET landscape.
