Based in Glen Iris, MOX Electrical is a leading electrical company known for delivering high-quality electrical solutions, specialising in commercial construction of high-end office fitouts and government projects. We’re on the lookout for a Contract Administrator to help take some of the administrative burden off the Directors and help elevate the business to the next level.

If you’re the person we’re looking for, you’ve been in the construction industry now for at least 3+ years, not necessarily all in contract admin, perhaps even come through the ranks as a project coordinator. Your experience is preferably in electrical, but if you come with civil or general construction experience that will be welcomed too. Regardless of your exact experience though, you have a passion for electrical and enjoy the devil in the detail.

That jump in your career just isn’t there, or maybe you’re just not getting the experience you’re wanting. Your role will include:

Overseeing and managing our electrical contracts from inception to completion

Attending subcontractor meetings and being the representative for the company

Producing the company's progress claims for all projects

Planning and implementing the procurement of materials and subcontractors - as well as coordinating with clients and internal teams to achieve construction programs

Ensuring updated drawings and new information are promptly communicated and made available on site

Documentation – manuals, as builts, safety certs, data entry for test results

Preparing of SWMS and end to end execution of RFIs

Working with foreman to recognise variations, quantity increases and additional scope of works for the production of appropriate variation correspondence to client

Preparation and analysis of end of month project costs report to the Directors

About you:

Demonstrated significant Contract Administration experience. This is a senior position

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards

Proven experience working with architectural / electrical drawings – and being able to notice changes and/or discrepancies

A good communicator. You don’t need all the answers, you can lean on PMs for this, but you must know what questions to ask

If you have the ability to do electrical take offs that would be looked on favorably
