This opportunity is located in Cairns, and is working with a Queensland Government Department who build and maintain schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

They are currently on the hunt for an Estimator to be based at their Cairns office.

Ideally, this person would come from a trade background and understand construction methodologies.

You will be visiting site to estimate renovation work on housing and commercial buildings, this will involve liaison with engineer, consultants, and trades.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A trade background.
• A good grounding in the construction industry.
• Effective communication skills
• Self motivation, reliable and a high level of integrity
• A basic understanding of estimating principles.
• Must possess a Queensland driver license.
