About the role

Alexim Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects by providing accurate and competitive estimates that align with our clients' requirements. This is a casual position based in our Brisbane office, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.

What you'll be doing

Conducting detailed cost analysis and takeoffs for a range of construction projects, home renovations, roof replacements, new builds, commercial.

Preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates that encompass all necessary materials, labour, and subcontractor costs

Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are aligned with project scope and objectives

Monitoring market conditions and industry trends to identify potential cost savings and optimisation opportunities

Providing expert input and recommendations during the bidding and tendering process

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the estimating process

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably within the Estimating sub-sector

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Proficient in the use of estimating software and tools, such as Buildsoft or Timberline

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable estimates

Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
