About the role

The Sales & Quoting Officer is responsible for handling customer inquiries, preparing accurate and timely quotes for glass and aluminium products, blinds, curtains and awnings and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process. This role supports the smooth transition from quote to job scheduling and manufacturing, while helping maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, and retail customers.

What you'll be doing

Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries regarding Roma Glass & Aluminium’s products and services.

Prepare and issue quotes using company software (e.g. Simpro) in a prompt and accurate manner.

Liaise with customers, builders, and internal teams to ensure all job details and specifications are clear.

Interpret building plans, window schedules, and site measurements to develop accurate pricing.

Follow up on outstanding quotes and convert accepted quotes into jobs for scheduling.

Maintain a clear and professional communication style, ensuring customer expectations are managed effectively.

Ensure all required documentation (window schedules, customer approvals, measurements) are received prior to manufacturing.

Assist in showroom displays and walk-in sales where required.

Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, pricing, and industry standards.

Maintain customer records and quote history in the company system.

Proficient with quoting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Experience in sales, estimating or quoting – ideally in the glass, aluminium, or building industry.

Knowledge of windows, doors, screens, shower screens, and glass products is highly desirable.

Previous experience with Simpro or similar quoting/job management software is advantageous.

Drivers licence required; site visits may occasionally be required.
