Fire Service Technician (Portables & Fire Doors)

(Minimum 1-year previous experience in a similar role)

The Group has provided building essential services within the Fire Industry for over 30 years, as part of our expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced self-motivated individual for the position of Fire Service Technician within our busy Service Department.

The Position.

As our Fire Service Technician, you will be working with our team of service technicians inspecting, testing and maintaining Portable Fire Equipment and Fire Doors.

· Inspect, test, install portable fire equipment

· Inspection and testing of fire doors

· Provide accurate and detailed descriptions of defects, including required rectification time, and materials required to complete the works

· Liaise with building facility management to provide an accurate and efficient service

· Complete reports and all paperwork to a high standard and in a timely manner

The Person

The successful applicant will have below experience and attributes

· Cert II Fire Protection Inspect & Test including Portables and Fire Doors

· Fire industry background

· Ability to conduct testing in accordance with AS 1851 & QDC MP6.1

· Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

· You will be customer focused and have a strong desire to deliver a high standard of work

· Excellent customer service and communication skills

· Police Check and Blue Card or willingness to obtain

· Drivers Licence required

· White Card required

· Experience working in a busy and demanding trade services environment

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure, along with multi-tasking efficiently
