The Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron (BMYS) is embarking on an exciting journey to bring our catering in-house, and we’re looking for a strong second-in-command to support the Head Chef in delivering fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced cuisine with a focus on high-quality seafood.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a professional kitchen from the ground up, helping to shape systems, menus, and a vibrant team culture.

What You’ll Do:

Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and lead the team in their absence.

Assist in creating and executing seasonal menus inspired by BMYS’s rich fishing and boating heritage.

Contribute to tailored menus for club events, private functions, weddings, and more.

Uphold the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Mentor junior chefs and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.

Bring ideas to the table to help improve efficiency, service, and food revenue.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a fast-paced environment.

A passion for fresh, local produce.

Strong organisational skills and calm leadership during service.

A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in team development.

Solid understanding of food safety and compliance requirements.
