Qualifications & experience

Degree qualified with previous experience at a CPA or CA practice (2 years minimum)

Sound technical tax knowledge especially of CGT, Div7a, FBT, payroll and GST

Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB Accounting, Xero, Quickbooks)

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Proactive, positive and passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals

A willingness to be mentored and an interest in growing and expanding skill set to consult to clients

Tasks & responsibilities

preparation of tax returns and financial statements for corporate groups including individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs

review and oversight of client work by junior team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of lodgements

liaise with ATO on behalf of clients

assist clients with accounting and tax queries

client meetings with regard to tax planning and business services (initially with support from partner)

train and develop junior staff from time to time
