About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Urban Planner to join a leading national planning consultancy. You'll work on a broad mix of statutory planning projects – from complex DAs to planning advice – and collaborate with government, private sector, and community stakeholders.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

Preparing and managing development applications (residential, commercial, and mixed-use)

Preparing planning reports and supporting documentation for statutory approvals

Providing expert advice on Queensland planning legislation and local planning schemes

Liaising with councils, state agencies, and clients to facilitate development outcomes

Conducting planning assessments and site reviews

Preparing planning due diligence and feasibility advice

Supporting senior staff on statutory planning matters and client engagement

We’re Looking For:

3–6 years of relevant statutory planning experience in Queensland

Strong working knowledge of the QLD planning framework, including the Planning Act 2016

Experience with built-form and infill/brownfield projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive and professional attitude, with a collaborative mindset

Tertiary qualification in Urban or Town Planning

PIA membership or eligibility preferred
