About you:

Minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting or finance.

Strong commercial acumen and operational focus.

Arabic literacy in business trade documentation and oral liaison with Arabic speaking financial institutions and trading entities.

Have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret financial data in a specific way.

Good knowledge about real-estate and 3pl warehouses accounting standards.

Exceptional analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.

Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and limited resources and able to make independent decisions and drive them effectively.

Sets high work standards and monitors compliance.

Uncompromising professional integrity and personal values/character.

Identifies critical issues facing the organization, responds appropriately and drive results.

Tertiary qualified in Finance/Accounting and be CPA/CA qualified or studying towards this will be highly regarded

Demonstrated proficiency with intermediate/advanced Excel and ERP system experience

Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices

An understanding of accounts, projects and financial reporting with experience in cost analysis to target variance and discrepancy reporting.

Extensive cashflow management experience is essential.

Duties:

Oversee all intercompany transactions.

Consolidation of accounting records across the group including review and implement accounting policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls.

Regular internal accounting audit of export transactions and trade reporting systems and documentation to ensure compliance with record keeping requirements AND assist in the compilation of information for company annual tax returns.

Working with other managers, identify and implement appropriate ERP system including conversion plan from current accounting application through to ongoing management of ERP system.

Correspondence with ATO and Financial Institutions AND with other key stakeholders including overseas trading partners.

Supervise the Payroll functions & records, incl tax and superannuation management AND On-going maintenance and control of all accounting systems in compliance with Australian laws and regulations.

Provides services relating to performance-based financial reporting, asset valuation, budgetary systems, cost management, pricing, forecasting and the strategic governance of organizations.

Provides advice on financial planning, risk management, provides management with reports to assist in decision-making.

May provide insight into cost performance and support the implementation of benchmarking and quality improvement initiatives.

Oversee Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Records.

Undertake required reporting, both internal and statutory reporting.

Plan and manage accounting audits across the operating entities.

Liaise with Directors on long term strategy and budgets.

Manage and mentor junior staff.
