Job description
We are seeking a Psychologist experienced in neurodiversity affirming practice. The successful candidate will be required to produce detailed behaviour support plans using a holistic, integrative approach, and provide psychological assessments to children. Ongoing support will also be required for most families. The successful candidate will have a passion for ongoing professional growth and providing a high quality service to our clients and families. They will also be committed to staying with the business on a long term basis to best meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments for children
Assist individuals, their families and support teams to identify individual needs through assessment and planning
Assess client needs and how to support those needs being met as part of the development of neurodiversity-affirming behaviour support plans
Ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with individuals, families, schools and other stakeholders
Offering support to individuals, children or their families to implement strategies which will improve their capacity to cope, social and emotional wellbeing, and quality of life
Manage a case load and ensure that documentation is kept up to date
Evaluate support provided to clients on an ongoing basis to ensure activities and care provided are consistent with changing client needs
Maintain confidentiality of information
Essential Criteria
Proficient written and verbal communication, consultation and negotiation skills
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Psychologist
Experience in delivering and evaluating relevant training for individuals, families and support staff
Have explicit knowledge of supporting people using a neurodiversity affirming psychology framework
Well-developed communication, time management and organisational skills
Current Australian Driver’s License
Current Working with Children’s Check, Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
