Registered Psychologist/Mental Health Social Worker

We are currently looking for a registered psychologist to join our practice on a full time or part-time basis from 2 days a week. Join a fast growing psychology practice located on the beautiful South Coast recognised by many schools and other healthcare providers. We have a reputation for excellent ongoing psychological care for children, adolescents and families all throughout the Illawarra and South Coast. We focus on a supportive, collaborative as well as an autonomous working environment to not only look after our diverse range of clients but to ensure we sustain our enjoyment working with them.

We love to be innovative and grow as psychologists where we integrate creativity into the therapy room from using lego, building blocks, drawing, arts and crafts, sandplay and games. This allows us to create a warm engaging environment for kids and adolescents to grow and thrive.

Our Principal Psychologist has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families across out-of-home settings, schools and private practice. She also had many years experience leading a clinical team in a private practice and school environment. Nourishing Psychology is ready to support, guide and collaborate with you. We have a wonderful experienced administration team that will help with getting you set up, help communication with new and existing clients and support any queries you may have.

What we are looking for in you:

Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist or mental health social worker

Passionate about helping children, adolescents and families thrive, having an impactful difference in the lives of children and their families

Take a holistic approach by also working with their families, schools and other healthcare providers including NDIS, private and medicare clients

Current Working with Children’s Check, eligible for Medicare provider number and full Australian Working Rights

Have a positive attitude and commitment to ongoing professional development

Desirable criteria

Ideally trained in EMDR

Ideally trained in Gottman Couples Therapy

We also encourage early career psychologists (provisional or newly registered) and mental health social workers who have a passion in growing and working with children and adolescents to apply.
