About Our Client

Our client is a respected leader in the mining sector, committed to safe and sustainable resource development. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Field Technician to join their environmental team and support monitoring and compliance activities at their South32 Cannington operation.

What You Will Be Doing

In this field-based role, you will perform a variety of environmental sampling, monitoring, and inspection duties. Tasks include:

Routine flora monitoring and pest/weed management

Soil, water, and air quality sampling

Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting (e.g., air monitors, soil sensors, groundwater pumps)

Using GPS to capture field data and inputting it into the EQuIS database

Supporting broader environmental group functions as required

What You Will Need

Experience with environmental sampling (dust, air, soil, water, groundwater, wastewater)

Understanding of environmental sampling standards and mining practices

Manual driver’s license and 4WD operation experience

Strong Excel and Outlook skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in field data recording

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
