About the role

As a Field Service Technician - Forklift Repair at Active Forklift Repairs', you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' forklifts remain in excellent working condition. This full-time position is based in Fairfield East NSW 2165, where you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair and servicing of forklifts across the local area.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair various forklift models and components, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engines
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate
• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on forklift care and operation
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in automotive or mechanical engineering, with a focus on forklift maintenance and repair
• Proven experience as a forklift service technician, preferably in a field-based role
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve a wide range of forklift issues
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
