Hays Trades and Labour are partnering with a global leader in the construction and mining sector, who has recently acquired a dealership in Melbourne's west. Our client develops and deals with specialist machinery used in construction, tunnelling, and underground mining. They're looking for their next team member to work closely with colleagues to refurbish, maintain, and repair machinery.

Your new role

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Performing specialised welding tasks to modify and repair specialist machinery
• Conducting predelivery services to ensure customer satisfaction
• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components
• Applying general fabricating work
• Abiding by all OHS requirements with a keen eye for detail
• Working independently and with colleagues to fit newly imported parts

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade Qualified Level 3 Certification in Diesel Automotive (Heavy preferred)
• Current driving licence and reliable transport
• Experience with welding, hydraulics, and electrical works
• Experience in a similar role, particularly with machinery
• Ability to work independently, complete job cards, and adhere to strict OHS procedures
• Strong focus on both safety and quality
• Competent Microsoft skills
