Seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to work with a friendly supportive team at Cabrini Brighton and Cabrini Malvern for a busy role in an Oncology Practice. Our oncologists and staff have the priority of providing the highest standard of patient care, always being considerate and efficient in dealing with both patients and their families and each other.

If you enjoy working in a friendly and supportive team environment, with the ability to show initiative and multitask, a good fit would be secured and guaranteed stability.

Hours/days

Full time employment 5 days per week.

Principal responsibilities:

Answering busy phones

Consulting sessions with doctors

Meet and greet patients on arrival

Co-ordinate patient appointments

Scheduling various pathology and imaging appointments

Prepare patient accounts, accept payments and receipt

Maintain and update patient records

Editing of voice-activated correspondence (letters)

Managing doctors diaries

Scanning and general administration

Actioning emails and faxes

Booking patients in for chemotherapy

Required experience and attributes:

Specialist rooms experience - oncology experience preferred but not essential

Excellent communication and time management skills

Experience in computerised billing

Multi-task and attention to detail

Adaptable to deal with emergencies and work well in a fast-paced environment

Work well within the team
