Marketing and Communications provide university-wide strategic marketing and communications advice and develop, manage and implement marketing and communications activities (including advertising) across all Griffith audiences including prospective and current students, staff, alumni, donors and corporate partners.
About the Opportunity
The Creative Services Manager leads the development and delivery of high-quality content and communications that enhance the University’s brand, supports student recruitment, and contributes to broader reputation and revenue goals.
This role oversees a multidisciplinary team of graphic designers, copywriters, and video producers, ensuring creative outputs are compelling and audience-focused, and delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
The Creative Services Manager collaborates with heads of key areas, including Marketing, Future Students, and Marketing Technology, to understand priorities and identify opportunities for content that enhances engagement across the marketing and sales funnel.
Key Responsibilities
Shape and improve content and creative service delivery models and processes.
Collaborate with senior leaders to align strategy, prioritise work, and manage resources.
Establish workflows and project systems to ensure timely, efficient project delivery.
Develop content tools, templates, and guidelines to support consistent brand execution.
Lead a creative team of designers, writers, and video producers; manage workload and output.
Champion Griffith University's brand locally and globally, ensuring visual and messaging consistency.
Advise senior stakeholders on brand and marketing strategy and tactics to enhance impact and alignment.
Manage budgets, including outsourcing where needed to balance capacity and quality.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver compelling marketing outputs across multiple channels and audiences..
Navigate competing priorities, stakeholder needs, and complex projects with strong communication and influence.
Ensure marketing initiatives meet quality, compliance, and governance standards.
About you
The occupant of this position will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant experience in marketing or creative agency services preferably within a higher education context.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check. Please note sponsorship is not available for this role.
What we can offer
This is a fixed term opportunity until 13th November 2026 based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Salary is HEW 9 - Base range - $132,655.36 - $137,398.61 + 17% super. Full package range - $155,206.78 - $160,756.38.
