Your new role

In this role, you will take the lead as a site-based Safety Officer for this Gold Coast development. This includes:

• Ensuring all safety documentation is up-to-date, including Safety Plans, Inductions, and Risk Registers
• Conducting toolbox talks, pre-starts, and inductions
• Undertaking safety inspections and audits to provide strategies for improved safety
• Building strong relationships with subcontractors and trades to foster a positive on-site environment
• Provide support and advice to the site management team

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have experience as an Safety Officer/Coordinator on commercial and/or multi-residential projects. You will also have:

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
• 5+ years of experience in the commercial construction sector, preferable high-rise buildings.
• A complete understanding of current legislation, regulations & building codes
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to set up systems, policies, plans and processes
