FULL-TIME COOK WANTED

Location: Tyalgum, NSW

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $76,000 - $77,000 per annum plus superannuation

Hours: 38 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced and passionate full-time Cook to join our kitchen team at a vibrant café nestled in the heart of the Northern Rivers. Our venue is committed to delivering high-quality, seasonal meals made with love from locally sourced ingredients by a friendly team oriented kitchen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with our menu and food quality standards

Ensure all meals are made to order, maintaining consistency, portion control, and presentation

Monitor food stock levels, rotate supplies, and assist with ordering

Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety regulations at all times

Collaborate closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver an excellent customer experience

Assist with menu development and daily specials

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including cleaning schedules and checklists

Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen setting

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen awareness

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays

Relevant Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent overseas qualification)
