Growing CA firm with a supportive and relaxed management team
My client is a boutique CBD based firm, well on their way to becoming one the market leaders in the integrated financial planning, superannuation, and accounting space.
Their key service offerings include Accounting, Taxation, Superannuation, Advisory, Corporate secretarial and Lending and Insurance. Their portfolio includes private wealth clients, top executives and various small to medium enterprises.
Their current SMSF Manager is stepping back from their role, after over 8 years with the business. As a result, they are now seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant who can oversee a portfolio of 150 funds, which are currently managed on Class. The firms outsourced team look after the processing side so this position will be very much geared towards review, client relationship management, and working collaboratively with their financial planning team.
You will be part of a wider team of 15 with comprehensive support from the firms Directors, and Principals. The business has expanded significantly in the past 3 years and has a strong and continuing growth pipeline.

Key duties will include:
Reviewing workpapers and financial statements for SMSF produced by outsourced accountants
Ensure SMSF's comply with regulations relating to investments, transactions, and loans.
Liaising with the internal financial planning team on SMSF issues and advice
Liaising with clients and further developing relationships
Prepare documents and reports for client meetings
Working with external auditors
Managing workflow and planning
The ideal candidate will possess:
A minimum of 3 years experience in SMSF accounting
A relevant tertiary level qualification (highly advantageous)
Familiarity with Class Super software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience managing client relationships
Experience reviewing the work of junior and/or offshore staff
