The Role

As the SMSF Senior Manager, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of complex SMSFs, including funds with corporate structures, LRBAs, and multi-generational members
• Oversee compliance and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with ATO and SIS Act regulations
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of SMSF accountants and administrators
• Provide strategic advice on pension strategies, contribution planning, asset structuring, and succession
• Liaise with clients, advisors, auditors, and legal professionals
• Drive process improvements and ensure high service standards are maintained

What You Bring

• At least 7–10 years of experience working with SMSFs, including complex structures
• Strong understanding of SIS legislation, ATO guidelines, and superannuation tax rules
• Excellent client-facing and leadership skills
• A strategic mindset with the ability to advise on broader wealth and retirement planning
• Proven experience managing teams and workflows

Required Licensing & Qualifications

To provide SMSF advice in Australia, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

• Relevant Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Financial Planning
• CA or CPA qualified
• Registered Tax Agent (or able to be registered)
• SSA® accreditation (SMSF Specialist Advisor) through the SMSF Association – highly regarded
