We’ve outgrown our external accounting firm – and now we’re looking for a confident, all-rounder accountant to step in and make their mark. This is your chance to work directly with the business owner in a family-owned, fast-moving construction and logistics company based in stunning Milsons Point.

We’re not just looking for someone to do the books – we want someone who’s excited to learn new systems, challenge the status quo, and help us build better processes from the ground up. You’ll get full mentorship from our current accounting firm for up to 3 months as you take the reins.

What You’ll Be Doing

Full-spectrum accounting – day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable up to and including strategic insights

Supporting inventory tracking and management reporting

Collaborating on cash flow management and forecasting

Recommending better ways of doing things – and helping us implement them

Working with our tax advisor to ensure streamlined tax reporting

Learning and working with tools like Zoho Books, Xero, Google Docs and Slack

Reporting directly to the owner and being part of business-critical decisions

What We’re Looking For

CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards

A get-things-done operator with a sharp eye for improvement

Solid accounting experience – ideally in construction, logistics, inventory or similar

Willing to learn new systems and approaches (non-negotiable!)

Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment

Sydney-based and happy to be in the office 4–5 days per week

Bonus: Familiarity with Zoho Books (or similar), Google Docs, Slack – but not essential
