Executive Manager Building & Infrastructure

The Opportunity

This is an influential leadership position within our longstanding client, a Local Government organisation on The Cape. You will be responsible for overseeing building infrastructure, capital works, property, social housing, planning, and facilities.
As a key member of the executive team, you'll guide a large and diverse department through service reform, infrastructure delivery, and long-term asset planning-while aligning all functions with community needs and Council's strategic goals.

About You
You're a seasoned infrastructure or asset leader with a broad skillset across capital works, housing, or development. You're strategic, adaptable, and confident operating in a multi-stakeholder environment. Above all, you're community-minded and committed to delivering outcomes that reflect local priorities.

You will bring:

• Degree or appropriate qualifications and/or experience in an appropriate discipline
• Experience managing infrastructure or building programs within Local Government or related sectors
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and work across functions
• Strong understanding of service delivery in remote or regional contexts
• Experience preparing and managing operational and capital budgets
• Ability to develop long-term strategic plans and deliver against them
• A collaborative leadership style and strong stakeholder engagement skills
