Are you a passionate about Engineering Standards? Join Sunwater as Engineer – Technical Standards where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring Sunwater’s engineering and technical standard requirements are met by providing technical expertise on operational requirements, investigations, reporting and options analysis. You will assist in the development and maintenance of technical standards through effective engagement with Sunwater Principal Engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Geotechnical), internal engineering partner (EPSP), Operations and project delivery personnel and ensure Sunwater technical standards are accessible to and meet the needs of the business.

As Engineer – Technical Standards at Sunwater, you will:

  • Support the development and maintenance of Engineering & Water Resources Design Management Framework
  • Provide input and recommendations into engineering designs for bulk water related infrastructure which are high quality, economically viable, safe and serviceable
  • Enhance the understanding of and promoting the business advantages of compliance with Sunwater’s design management systems across E&WR and work with a broad range of internal stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented individual with a track record in understanding Engineering Standards or Specifications. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and have preferably have experience in government assets or an asset owner environment. You will also bring:

  • Engineering expertise: Well-developed understanding of technical standards pertaining to civil, mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines
  • Strategic vision: Ability to interact with the Service Delivery groups to ensure appropriate asset management and operational requirements have been considered in the development of Technical Standards
  • Communication skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
