We are seeking an additional receptionist to join our busy team!

Well established specialist medical practice seeking a part time medical reception/administration assistant. We are seeking someone who is warm, kind, reliable and passionate about providing outstanding service to our patients and our Psychiatrists and Dietitians within the practice.

This position will be a shared role, and you will be a key part of the team ensuring the front desk runs smoothly. Approximately 40 hours per fortnight (8.30am-5pm, Wednesday & Friday and Wednesday, Thursday & Friday the alternating week, 5 day fortnight) with the possibility to increase for the right candidate. The ideal candidate would need to be flexible to cover sick leave and annual leave as needed. Remuneration commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include:

Greet patients with a friendly and professional manner

Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls, faxes and emails

Processing patient billing, Health fund, Medicare billing and DVA

Manage patient appointments and records using Zedmed medical software

Sending outgoing correspondence/letters

Managing incoming referrals and making initial appointments

General medical reception, administration, secretarial support and assisting the Practice Manager

About you:

Outstanding customer service skills

Friendly and passionate with the ability to work with a broad range of patients/clientele

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment

Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Previous experience in a medical reception role is highly desirable, but not essential
