With offices in Midland and Ellenbrook, we support people in the community with no-cost legal services, disability advocacy, financial counselling, tenancy advocacy, and information and referrals.
About You
The Administrative Officer plays a key front-line role in providing high-quality reception and administrative support that contributes to the effective delivery of client services. As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and service providers, the position is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment, managing client enquiries, and supporting the daily operations of the organisation.
Working under general supervision, the role supports both the administrative functions and the client service delivery team, ensuring timely, accurate, and respectful service in line with organisational values and compliance standards. Working in a small team, you will provide administrative coverage during all operational hours for a seamlessness, consistent experience for all stakeholders.
About the role
The Administrative Officer will provide support with:
Front of house/reception duties, including answering the telephone and greeting clients
Ensuring compliance with best practice, conflict checks and record keeping
Supporting the teams with general administration duties as directed, which may include a variety of tasks
Client intake, managing appointment calendar and data entry
Provide information and referrals to external services

Required Education/Licences/Certificates
A current unrestricted driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
A current satisfactory National Police clearance certificate (no older than 3 months from the issue date) and a Working with Children Check
First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Experience working in an administration or client-facing role in the legal sector, community service or not-for-profit organisation is desirable
Experience working in community legal centres will be highly regarded
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity and professionalism, and an ability to deal with and maintain highly confidential information
Strong computer literacy, including the ability to learn new systems and platforms
High level of organisation, time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
Enjoy working in a small and dynamic team with the ability to work autonomously
Ability to work with flexible hours in response to business requirements
