Job Opportunity: Community Liaison Officer

Are you passionate about building strong community connections and supporting meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal organisations? Job Pathways is looking for a Community Liaison Officer to help build stronger relationships and enhance community engagement across the East Kimberley region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with Aboriginal organisations to enhance community engagement.
- Help create processes that ensure open and effective communication between Job Pathway staff and the community.
- Represent Job Pathways at community reference group meetings and report on key outcomes.
- Provide mentorship and support to community members and stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to relevant managers on community-related activities.
- Demonstrate cultural responsiveness and work in a way that respects Aboriginal clients, staff, and communities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in community liaison or advocacy, preferably in a not-for-profit setting (preffered but not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to consult, mentor, and collaborate with diverse groups.
- A strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in remote communities.
What You’ll Need:
- A current C Class driver’s license (essential)
- Western Australian Working with Childrens Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
