Breakthrough Group is a Demolition, Asbestos Removal and Concrete Cutting company with over 36 years of experience. We pride ourselves on having a strong team culture and are currently seeking a full time Workshop Assistant for the maintenance of our workshop, vehicles, plant & equipment.

Must be reliable, physically fit and mechanically minded!

Some mechanic knowledge and experience is necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.

Ensure planned repairs are executed within time and cost requirements

Organising vehicle repairs & maintenance through 3rd party suppliers identified in plant/vehicle logbooks.

Liaising with Operations Manager to ensure vehicles are available for services by due date.

Cleaning and maintenance of equipment when returned from job sites.

Ensuring all electrical tools and equipment are regularly test & tagged through 3rd party supplier.

Ensure test tagging for Fire Equipment is completed on time i.e. ext in vehicles & building

Preparing tools and equipment for employee’s vehicles for the next day

Occasionally delivering tools and equipment to job sites when required.

Inspecting vehicles & plant regularly when returned by employees to ensure they’ve been kept clean. (Signing off they’ve been checked as per each logbook)

General warehouse maintenance including but not limited to; ensuring the cleanliness and safety is upkept for staff/employees & Subcontractors.

Requirements for job:

Valid Forklift Licence or in the training process

Must have Drivers Licence

White Card

Understanding of the industry
