This progressive Government Agency has an immediate vacancy for a technically astute Assistant Financial Accountant who can undertake an A04 engagement.

About the role:

• Prepare financial correspondence and documentation.
• Complete accruals, reconciliations, and end-of-month journals.
• Maintain balance sheet recs, registers, and prepayments.
• Manage daily banking and clear transactions.
• Prepare cashflow reports and update financial registers.
• Maintain SAP open item management.
• Provide accurate advice on financial policies, systems, and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve GL and financial management issues.
• Support team operations and contribute to process improvements.

About you as the ideal candidate:

• Confidence in communicating with a broad range of managers
• Loads of initiative
• Experience in Accounting
• Familiarity with general ledger systems
