The College is seeking to appoint a Permanent Part-Time Cook to provide an exceptional service to our students and cater College functions and events as required. This position is based at our Stephen Street Campus and works 48 hours per fortnight during the school term (39 weeks/year). This position works off a fortnightly rotating roster, with Saturday and Sundays off the first week, then Wednesday, Thursday off the second.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience preparing and cooking a wide variety of high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with food service guidelines.

Experience in preparing and baking pastries/sweets is highly desirable.

Demonstrated knowledge of Food Safety requirements and the ability to obtain Food Safety Supervisor certification.

An RSA Certificate or the ability to obtain is desirable.

A current Working with Children Blue Card (or eligibility to be issued one) will be required for this position.

A current driver’s license.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with all members of the community.

Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to show initiative and a strong sense of professionalism.

Flexible and responsive to the needs of the College including the flexibility and availability to work extra or varied hours as negotiated.
