About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our passionate team at Temple of Spices Indian and Vegan Restaurant in Mermaid Beach, QLD. This is a full-time position that will see you play a key role in crafting our delicious, award-winning Indian and vegan dishes for our loyal customers.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a wide variety of Indian and vegan dishes to our high standards
• Ensuring all food is presented beautifully and in line with our restaurant's style
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Assisting with menu development and recipe testing
• Supervising and training junior kitchen staff
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in an Indian or vegan restaurant
• Formal culinary training or qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious, high-quality food
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A team player attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
