About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide services in Medical Oncology for patients at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and affiliated centres, promote and participate in clinical Medical Oncology research activities, and participate in teaching.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Maintain high standards of service in oncology.
- Provide continuing care of patients and ensure medical cover during times of staff leave so that patient care is not compromised.
- Interact with radiation oncologists and haematologists and generally with staff specialists at Royal Brisbane Hospital with regard to the care of cancer patients. Also with the medical profession beyond in relation to care of cancer patients that are referred and to the Professors and staff of the University of Queensland Medical School in regard to the teaching of students.
- Participate in quality assurance activities conducted by the department.
