The Project Officer role will work as part of a dedicated team to support the coordination and delivery of project deliverables.

What you'll do

You will:

• Manage, monitor and report progress and implement best practice guidelines and processes to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved.
• Undertake project management activities by developing and maintaining formal project plans, supporting estimates, records and registers in accordance with the project lifecycle.
• Provide a secretariat function for meetings, including preparing, collating and quality checks of meeting papers, where required.
• Monitor and coordinate the review of risks and issues to ensure the integrity of projects and outcomes are met in a timely manner.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

• Demonstrated organisation skills and ability to organise with a high level of independence and to act innovatively, resourcefully and meet deadlines and commitments possessing a logical proactive approach to achieve strategic goals.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to define project tasks, assist with the compilation of project information, set priorities and coordinate activities effectively to meet competing deadlines, with a track record of proven and sustained outcomes.
• Conceptual, problem-solving and analytical skills, relevant to the public sector, including developing innovative and practical solutions and providing advice to assist in addressing complex issues.
• Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a high performing team, communicate confidently to a range of audiences and undertake effective consultation and negotiation processes.
