The Project Officer role will work as part of a dedicated team to support the coordination and delivery of project deliverables.
What you'll do
You will:
- Manage, monitor and report progress and implement best practice guidelines and processes to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved.
- Undertake project management activities by developing and maintaining formal project plans, supporting estimates, records and registers in accordance with the project lifecycle.
- Provide a secretariat function for meetings, including preparing, collating and quality checks of meeting papers, where required.
- Monitor and coordinate the review of risks and issues to ensure the integrity of projects and outcomes are met in a timely manner.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated organisation skills and ability to organise with a high level of independence and to act innovatively, resourcefully and meet deadlines and commitments possessing a logical proactive approach to achieve strategic goals.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to define project tasks, assist with the compilation of project information, set priorities and coordinate activities effectively to meet competing deadlines, with a track record of proven and sustained outcomes.
- Conceptual, problem-solving and analytical skills, relevant to the public sector, including developing innovative and practical solutions and providing advice to assist in addressing complex issues.
- Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a high performing team, communicate confidently to a range of audiences and undertake effective consultation and negotiation processes.
