About Us
Emerge Women & Children’s Support Network (Emerge) is a specialist family violence organisation based in the City of Kingston, with almost 50 years of continuous operation supporting women and children. We provide secure 24/7 refuge, crisis accommodation, temporary housing, and outreach programs. We also offer therapeutic services and case management support to empower families to recover and rebuild their lives in safety. Our work is grounded in a deep commitment to gender equity, trauma-informed practice, and continuous innovation to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

About the Role
Are you a strategic and values-driven leader with a passion for social justice and delivering best practice services? Emerge Women & Children’s Support Network is seeking a Service Delivery Director to lead our core service delivery functions, including refuge, outreach, transitional housing and therapeutic programs.
This role oversees the service delivery team leaders across all aspects of service delivery including therapeutic work, support work and case management. You will provide guidance and consultation on complex cases, support staff wellbeing, and ensure the highest standards of service across all programs. The role includes oversight of staffing, budgets, service delivery, innovation, and program outcomes.
This is a senior leadership position working closely with the CEO, Board and senior leadership team to ensure services remain high-quality, evidence-informed, and responsive to the needs of women and children impacted by family violence.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead Emerge’s refuge, outreach and transitional housing programs to deliver high-quality, client-focused services
• Supervise and mentor team leaders and staff across multidisciplinary teams
• Provide guidance and leadership in complex and crisis situations
• Oversee case management and therapeutic support to ensure integrated, trauma-informed care
• Lead program planning, innovation and pilot projects to drive best practice
• Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes and KPIs
• Oversee relevant budgets, expenditure and client support brokerage in collaboration with the Operations Director
• Ensure all services meet relevant legal, funding and compliance standards
• Represent Emerge at external forums, sector meetings and partnership events
• Contribute to strategic decision-making with the CEO and Board

What We’re Looking For
• Strong experience in a leadership role in social services, NFP or government sector
• A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and best practice family violence response
• Demonstrated expertise in intersectionality and cultural safety
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure service environments
• Strong analytical and communication skills with experience in reporting and data-driven planning
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets and driving program innovation

Mandatory Requirements
• Working with Children Check (Employee version)
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
• National Police Check (and international if applicable)
• Meet the REC 209 minimum qualification requirements
