About the role

MDM Lawyers' are seeking a Conveyancer to join our team in Essendon North, VIC. This part time/full-time ongoing position will see you playing a key role in facilitating property transactions and providing expert support to our clients.

What you'll be doing

Managing the end-to-end conveyancing process for residential and commercial property transactions

Preparing and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, and other legal instruments

Conducting thorough property searches via Infotrack and investigations to ensure a smooth settlement process

Liaising with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address queries

Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Working side by side with our head conveyancer and property lawyer and the broader legal team with a variety of tasks as required

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications in Conveyancing or Law

A minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in a conveyancing or property law role

Strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities and meet all time constraints

Excellent communication and organizational skills to liaise effectively with clients and relevant departments

Proficiency in using Leap Legal Software and systems to manage transactions

Handling settlements and lodgments and maintaining PEXA workspaces, Duties Online and SPEAR proficiently

A proactive positive and energetic attitude and team player
