Role: Conveyancer - Junior & Senior positions available
Tenure: Ongoing
Commencement: Immediate
Location: Deer Park (Hybrid/Flexible, conveniently situated near the train station)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM (full time with flexibility)
Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 package (Negotiable, dependent on experience)

About the role

The primary role of the candidate will focus on completing conveyancing matters from beginning to end. In many conveyancing tasks, time becomes of the essence, therefore the ability to prioritise and provide accurate work efficiently is the key to success. You will run files from beginning to end including all administrative tasks with assistance from our administration assistant.

The role for the Senior Conveyancer provides for a lot of autonomy and the opportunity to make it your own, whilst working closely with the Principal Lawyer who will be overseeing the matters.

The role for the Junior Conveyancer will provide great opportunity to learn and develop whilst working closely with the Principal Lawyer who will be managing the matters.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant must display the following:

previous experience in Conveyancing;

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

Excellent work ethic and initiative;

Experience with PEXA, duties online platforms and Smokeball preferred;

Impeccable time management, ensuring diligent file preparation and task management;

The ability to juggle and prioritise competing tasks;

The ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines;

The ability to work autonomously, and more importantly, the ability to seek answers where information provided may not be clear;

The ability to correspond professionally with all parties involved in a transaction;

Basic understanding of the conveyancing process; and

A genuine interest in coordinating all aspects of a sale or purchase from initial negotiations (including contract preparation or advice) through to settlement.

Familiarity with DOL Online Digital Duties Forms System

Previous Conveyancing Experience

Whilst having a lot of previous Conveyancing experience is valuable, we are able to accommodate an applicant with lesser experience for the junior conveyancing role, who has a great attitude and willingness to learn. If you have recently started or completed a Conveyancing Course, it will also be highly desirable for the role.
