Chef/Cook ~ Echuca Workers are searching for our newest team member to join the kitchen team. It’s a 38 Hour Week paid weekly plus any reasonable overtime.

Our ideal newest team member must have:

  1. 2-3 years experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
  2. Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (and/or higher)

The role's job description is:

 Cooking and service of food according to the Club's quality and service standards

 Training of kitchen staff as directed by chef in charge

 Receiving and storage of food

 Safety and cleanliness of all kitchen and food storage areas

 Ensuring high levels of kitchen team performance.

 Creating a harmonious environment amongst all staff within the kitchen.

 Prepare and cook high quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes

 Supervise members of the kitchen team who are responsible to you if applicable.

 Help to create good communication between floor and kitchen staff and within the kitchen.

 Receive and account for supplies and deliveries and pack away

 Assist with regular stock takes if required

 Assist with the training of staff, including any apprentices and trainees

 Follow correct hygienic food handling practices

 Follow the Club's regular cleaning and waste disposal practices

 Use safe work practices and support others to use them

 Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition

 May be required to do ordering and stock control

 Provide assistance to other chefs in areas of food preparation, cooking and/or assigned to a specific area of the kitchen
