Gold Coast Disability & Youth (GCDAY) is a trusted provider in the disability services field, known for delivering exceptional support to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Billing Officer with an immediate start available to join our accounts team and contribute to our ongoing success. We provide self and plan managed NDIS participants with a range of support options including: individual support and group programs.

This pivotal role will involve managing the complete billing cycle, from invoicing to debt collection, as well as collaborating with plan managers and contractors to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with financial systems and an in-depth understanding of the invoicing process, particularly in relation to PRODA and PACE platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage debt collection activities, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances and maintaining a professional approach with clients.

Issue and reconcile invoices accurately, ensuring all details align with service delivery and contractual terms.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies, errors, and adjustments in invoices, ensuring customer satisfaction and financial accuracy.

Utilise PRODA and PACE systems to manage claims, billing, and payment processes in compliance with industry regulations.

Establish and maintain effective communication with plan managers, ensuring accurate billing details and the smooth processing of payments.

Verify, review, and approve contractor invoices, ensuring that service delivery aligns with agreed terms before authorising payment.

Desirable Attributes:
We are particularly interested in candidates who possess the following desirable attributes:

Experience in NDIS or healthcare sectors: Previous experience working within the NDIS or healthcare space is highly valued. Knowledge of NDIS billing procedures, compliance requirements, and funding guidelines is essential for success in this role.

Proficiency with PRODA and PACE systems: Experience using PRODA and PACE platforms for claims and invoicing is a key asset. You should be comfortable navigating these systems to process claims, handle billing disputes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Strong understanding of disability services: A deep understanding of the processes surrounding disability services and funding structures will greatly enhance your ability to effectively liaise with plan managers, contractors, and clients.

Contractor and vendor management: Experience managing contractor invoices and ensuring that all bills are accurate, compliant with terms, and ready for approval will set you apart.

Attention to detail and accuracy: A keen eye for detail is crucial in this role. You will need to consistently maintain accuracy when processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, and managing debt collection.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: The ability to collaborate effectively with plan managers, contractors, and clients is essential. You should be confident in managing relationships while maintaining a high level of professionalism and tact.

Problem-solving capabilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify issues, suggest practical solutions, and take corrective action when required.

Self-motivated and results-driven: A proactive approach to your work is essential. You should be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
