We're currently looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our team and play a vital role in our service department.

As the workshop controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop. You will oversee daily activities, manager workflows, and ensure that work is completed to high standards within set timeframes. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team of technicians to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the day-to-day workflow within the workshop

Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload

Ensure that all repair and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and accurately

Monitor work progress to meet deadlines and quality standards

Collaborate with the service advisor team to keep customers informed about their vehicle's status and any required repairs

Perform quality checks to ensure high standards of work are maintained

Handle and resolve any issues or delays in the workshop

Foster and promote a positive and productive workshop environment

Requirements:

Preferred experience in a similar role in a dealership is preferred but not necessary

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Mechanical and technical background with good understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes

Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines

Preferred experience with Pentana, EraNet, Triage but not necessary
